Graduate School of Informatics



The aim of our graduate school is to develop researchers and professionals through multifaceted and comprehensive researches and also to contribute to the development of informatics that opens up the future. In addition, with the establishment of the faculty of Nursing, our graduate school has incorporated “healthcare informatics” as one of our research fields, which is based on the education of the faculty of Nursing to solve the problems in an aging society with a low birthrate.


The discipline of Information Systems

The discipline of Information Systems aims to train specialized personnel who can design advanced information systems applying sophisticated information technology, to solve difficult problems in our information society.

Students will acquire skills and expertise to become researchers and engineers, specializing in the fields of information science such as system development, networks, artificial intelligence, environmental science, and data science.


The discipline of Social Informatics

The discipline of Social Informatics aims to train social scientist who can contribute to solving complex social issues in our diversifying society.

Students will learn a multidisciplinary approach based on the various fields of social sciences such as media science, management, economics, and sociology, and attempt to apply and integrate these various academic fields to find new theories and solutions.


The discipline of Healthcare Informatics

The utilization of health and medical welfare-related data has become increasingly important in meeting the diverse and complex needs for healthcare caused by the rapid change in social structure.

In the discipline of Healthcare Informatics, students acquire skills and knowledge required to become specialized data scientists in the field of healthcare and welfare, who will contribute to a secure and sustainable welfare society.
